The 4th of July: today is the anniversary of the establishment of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) in Japan.

Kentucky Fried Chicken Japan, Ltd ran an "all-you-can-eat chicken" campaign today.

The campaign also includes all-you-can-eat French fries and bottomless soft drinks.

it ran from 1:00PM to 4:00PM, with a time limit of 45 minutes.

The price was 1,200 yen ($15), if you are an elementary school student or lder (tax included).

I wanted to go there, so I went today! But I couldn't get the campaign deal, because the number of people was limited. I should have gone earlier.

I didn't realize there was a cap on the amount of people who could participate. But I got a coupon!

Three pieces of original chicken usually costs 700 yen ($8.7), but with the coupon it was discounted 200 yen ($2.5).

Lucky me! Oh, I might be completely taken in by KFC. lol

I wonder why KFC's fried chicken is so delicious! It's like a drug for me...

Buried gold

4112332-treasure-pirates.jpg

About 400 years ago, my ancestor was a lord called "Kazutoyo Yamauchi", and it seems that he was the owner of Kochi castle in Kochi prefecture.
This castle is still remaining now, but I've never been there.
My grandmother is the youngest of thirteen brothers, and she was still alive, therefore I used to hear her old stories.
When my grandmother was a child, it seems that her father said to her "Our ancestor buried gold here, if you are pressed for your money, you will dig and use this gold.
(My grandfather immigrated to Hokkaido after that.)
It seems there was a big pot called "kame" filled with a lot of large/small-sized gold coin.
It is currently worth at least several billion yen.
My gramma lived alone, when she taught me about this.
Therefore only my gramma had known about the buried gold and place.
She always have said that she wanted to go there again, but her dream didn't come true.
My grandma died at 102 years old.
I wanted to go there with my gramma one time.
But I'm going to go to Kochi castle someday.
