Huroshiki

Huroshiki is a traditional wrapping cloth, often with patterns, which looks like a large handkerchief.
It seems to have a history of four hundred years.
Huroshiki can be folded compactly and carried when you're not using it.
It used to be made of cotton and silk, but now is made of a chemcial fibre instead.

It is different from a plastic or paper bag in that it can be reused.
For example, you can wrap your clothes and underpants, when you go to a bath-house, and you can wrap sake as a present, when you visit your friend's house.
I recommend huroshiki for eco reasons.
